So I thought I would jump on here to post that if your heading over to my shop you may want to wait a day or 2. There seems to be nothing there to buy. I think zazzle is having issues with a server, but obviously informing shop keepers isn’t on their list of priorities at the moment. Yup, I’m annoyed to say the least. Not like the holiday shopping season is under way or anything.
I will post a joyous and happy post when this gets fixed… see me being all optimistic by assuming this is being frantically worked on over at zazzle headquarters?

Jeeesh. I actually forgot about my site for awhile. Now that I am looking around it is all to obvious that I need to get on some updates. I’ve been preoccupied with a painting I started which is a family portrait. Not only the biggest painting I have done so far but one that is of actual people I know. That never happens. I have a phobia about painting people in my life. So if I end up divorced & my daughter hates me than blame the painting because i am an awesome wife and mom. ;P

Digital painting seems like my mortal enemy, but I found this one much easier than the last. Allot like oil painting has been getting easier. So many projects in my head that I should be working on and yet never seem to muster the energy. How great it would be to just have someone be able to tell me which is more important and worth the energy.
Onward and upward.
This drawing is how i think it would feel to be a vampire if you could be.

The sky seems to be falling here in Norway and while out walking I realized that the match between the weather and all around attitude of the people was terrifyingly similar. Makes me sad. Imagine if everyone smiled at eachother on a rainy day. Especially on a rainy day.

So, over a year ago i bought my mom’s one line a day for 5 years journal. Sometimes i add to it..usually i don’t. I try to at least put cute things that we say to each other everyday in it. Just so little Boo can see how much she used to love me when she is a angsty teen. I came across the sketch a day book back then and finally got around to buying it a few months ago. I figured since i suck at drawing everyday having a book for the soul purpose may make me feel guilty enough to commit. I’m really struggling with anatomy not being so cartoony and of coarse shading… my enemy. I will keep trying and hope that it gets better with practice like everyone says. I really regret those years i spent in Chicago not drawing. Among almost every other thing i did in Chicago.

So i am doing things on the side. Always on the side. I am never just full throttle into anything. This may be my main problem in life.
So i openend a little side shop. For mythical and skull like things that are cute. It’s possibly redundant but even i have unicorns and things in my head. Needed a place to dump them and it turned out to be this place.

Been thinking so much about shading and shadows. That lack of an art degree is annoying, than again I have seen some work from people with art degrees and personally hated it. So what do I know.
My 3 week vacation turned into a month long break from all things internet like it appears. I am finding it very hard to get back into the swing of things. So, this is my attempt at getting back on the blogging track i fell off of.
